This creates an extremely resistant saltwater coating that is the most effective. The biggest determining factor for whether a painted boat trailer will be best for you is whether you will be launching in saltwater or freshwater.įor a maximum resistance to corrosion from saltwater, component parts and frames are galvanized with a hot-dip galvanization finish. Painted boat trailers provide the custom color and graphics options to make your boating package stand out on the road. This is because the type of finishing can determine if the boat will operate best in fresh or saltwater. Finishing not only brings out the beauty of the trailer, but also the aspect of durability. Higher payload, faster speed, and stability make for more hauling output.Īfter modification and construction of a boat trailer, the final stage is finishing. In these conditions, you won’t experience a lot of bounce or swaying. Not only that, tandem axle trailers allow for more stability with faster highway speeds. This permits the trailer to accept heavier cargo, up to three times what a single axle can manage, which means more carrying and transport capacity. Tandem axle trailer designs include two sets of tires in close proximity to each other to help disperse the weight of the load. Keep in mind that these tires will wear faster than tandem tires due to having to carry more of the weight. They also have simpler structures to maintain due to only having one set of wheels. Cost wise, single axle trailers are lighter and are more inexpensive to tow. Because of their small size, they are more fuel efficient and towing is easy to handle due to a lower weight and easy to adjust towing angles. They are easy to handle when parking spaces are scarce or there is little wiggle room. Depending on the size and weight of the boat, we will determine whether a single-axle or tandem-axle trailer is the better choice for your boat.Ī single axle trailer with only one set of wheels can be a bit easier to maneuver. Trailer axle classifications include single axles with one set of wheels and tandem axles which can be two (dual-axle) or three (triple-axle) sets of wheels. Check your boat manufacturer’s specifics to see if they make a recommendation of one style over the other. This means the trailer enters the water farther than a roller trailer requires for launching.īunk trailers provide support that makes them the optimum choice for some boats with thinner hulls. They are designed to be launched in deeper water where the boat can float-on and off the trailer. Since most roller trailers are more of a general fit, bunk trailers offer a more custom and a tighter fit.īunk trailers are designed to cradle the hull of the boat and offer the most economical choice for transport as they have fewer parts to maintain. The bunks are designed to make contact with the hull of the boat at every point. These days, with improved technology and craftsmanship, you can find bunk trailers carrying larger boats even longer than 30 feet.Īt Pacific Trailers, we recommend bunk trailers. Previously, manufacturers created trailers for larger boats with wobble rollers while traditional bunk trailer designs fit smaller styles of boats. Boat trailers come in two main styles, bunk or roller.

But in this time with so many choices first impressions are very important and this one just screams Risk II but it really isn't. The other songs are very good and do not deserve the criticism that so many have given them. I like the song but it just comes off as lame to be Megadeths new single. Dave looks like some soccer dad with his hair tide back and should be driving a mini-van.Īfter saying all that. The name and cover just screams "who cares", the song is boring and uninspiring and the video, it is really lame. The albums name "Super Collider", the track Super Collider and the video Super Collider. The last minute of Dance In The Rain is realllly fast, KIMB fast. There are three reasons why this record just doesn't sit right with most Megadeth fans. 'Musically, Super Collider falters in its inability to deliver the kind of hooks and powerhouse solos we know Broderick and Mustaine can provide.' This album contains plenty of great shred. It comes in, kicks ass, and doesn’t overstay its welcome. Plus a song titled We’ll Be Back needs to be at the end of an album as excellent as this. There is a little bit of truth to that but over all this is a solid thrash metal record. It might have been tempting to put this as the first track on the album because it’s speedy and heavy, but it works so damn well at the back of the album capping it off. It has that feeling of going back to a more radio friendly sound that Megadeth has shaken off over the previous decade of thrash metal records since 2001's The World Needs a Hero. This was a universally hated record upon its release. Each Coromon has an elemental affinity, which determines its weaknesses, and a set of abilities that they learn as they level up. Players have a gauntlet with six slots to carry their Coromon, with the rest of the creatures sent to storage accessible in every town. Battles are mostly one-on-one fights, except for a few occasions when more than one wild Coromon appears at the same time. Abilities cost stamina points, and fighters can recover half of their stamina if they use their turn to rest. The turn-based battle system is very classic. The use of emojis is a nice inclusion to emphasize reactions. The art as a whole is solid, enjoyable, and never breaks character. Sound effects, which include the characteristic calls of each Coromon, are great and fit the music and visual style nicely. The soundtrack includes more than 50 captivating tracks that are a great callback to the games of the past. Faithful to its retro concept, the game doesn’t include voice acting and the music mimics the sounds of older platforms, using synthesizers and synthesized guitars that effectively sound retro. Coromon are visually a great mix of tenderness and power, with most looking almost harmless in their early stages and becoming imposing when they evolve. The sprite of the player character is highly customizable, with fashionable accessories scattered around the world to personalize their look. Graphics are charming in a childish and comedic way, matching the dialogue between characters. Each region has different climatic conditions, sights, and wild creatures. This balance permeates throughout the game, and at the end, the story is easy to digest and enjoy since everything is taken lightly and with a smile.Ĭoromon is set in a pixel world. Apart from a few moments when the story needs to use a solemn tone, the script is mostly delightful and humorous, with emojis reflecting the emotions in a funny way. The game doesn’t expand upon this initial setting, but the substories of each town allow players to be amused by the peculiarities of this world. The journey allows players to enjoy catching, training, and evolving creatures while dealing with the Titans, which serve as a motivation to travel around the world. Besides the duties of a researcher, players are given a special assignment: gather the Titans’ essence, a power strong enough to change the whole world, before a nefarious organization uses it to do evil. This simple premise sounds like a shameless copy, but the game adds something to justify the travels. Players choose from three different Coromon as their initial monster and begin their journey to tame them all. The job consists mostly of catching and training Coromon, wild creatures that can be trapped by using spinners. Players take on the role of a newly hired Battle Researcher for a high-tech lab called Lux Solis. It’s a great homage to a subgenre and a whole era of video games, yet it sadly lacks meaningful, innovative ideas. Freedom Games and TRAGsoft’s monster-taming RPG features a pixel world, turn-based battle system, charming puzzles, and a vast array of monsters to catch. Fortunately, Coromon is an ideal game for players who miss those days. Monster-taming games have a big fan base, but even with the most famous franchise continuing to release new entries, the golden age of these games seems to lie a couple of decades behind us. Medical technologists act as supervisors for medical technicians, who perform many of the same duties in a physician’s office or lab. The mesh itself is a simple series of trapezes that follow the path of a wheel. So by then we already have screen normals and “wheel tracks screen mask” (masks portion of the screen, on top of which tracks shouldn’t be rendered), additionally to Z buffer or course. Wheel tracks are rendered after terrain and most of the environment. Let’s take another game screenshot and see what steps are involved in rendering wheel tracks: Now let’s get to some more interesting stuff… WHEEL TRACKS The mud pixel shader itself is nothing fancy, and it simply blends few diffuse textures based on the normal which it derives from the heightfield data. That is pure empirics and have very vague connection to real world physics! With a knowledge of wheels and chassis positions, their size and velocities, and their current mud penetration depth, CPU forms various “primitives” and draws the into a “Texture 2” (RT – render target), which is then read back by GPU. The visual part of mud simulation boils down to properly updating Texture 2: GB (green, blue) channels – used for “mud offset” effect (the mud slides away from vehicles wheels as they move).Ī (alpha) channel – “mud tracks”, a blending factor of terrain shader into mud shader, In combination with A channel of Texture 1 that makes mud transition into terrain unnoticeable. It gets unpacked into a floating point value with a simple multiplication. R (red) channel – “mud height”, is relative to elevation of base terrain. 128x128 in size, is only allocated for blocks with mud. Tint adds some color variation to the environment, and illustrates physics properties (“tinted” terrain is softer).Ī (alpha) channel – marks portions of base terrain that are substituted by the mud, it’s the only channel that is dynamically updated as vehicles deform terrain. Currently, each block can only mix 2 materials.ī (blue) channel – “tint” factor. G (green) channel – grass/dirt materials mix factor. It is unpacked into real-world height with a bit of math. R (red) channel – packed height (elevation). 25x25 in size for each block, is used for rendering both low-res base terrain and the high-res mud. In order to draw the mud, vertex shader takes in a simple 2d grid of vertices, then fetches two A8R8G8B8 textures that look like this: We won’t go into details of physics here, but in short, there is no rocket science involved, but it’s not something Havok (physics engine in MudRunner) can do out of the box. For a number of reasons (CPU and GPU are out of sync on PC, high detalization required for rendering is not required for physics, etc.), those two tasks operate on completely different sets of data. The mud simulation consists of mud-vehicle physics processing (performed by CPU) and rendering of the mud (performed by GPU). Game only performs plants physics simulation, mud simulation and water simulation for “active” blocks. Only those blocks that are near the truck that player is driving are “active”. Game only draws those blocks that are inside camera “frustum”. Each block contains a list of plants (trees, rocks, etc.), base terrain data, mud data (optional), and other data. They are subdivided into a grid of 16m x 16m blocks. Game levels in MudRunner can be up to 1km x 1km in size. Now let’s have a closer look at each layer… MUD HEIGHTFIELD So if vehicles have not deformed terrain, its wireframe would have looked like this: Now we are left with the mud itself, which is a simple heightfield (essentially a 2d mesh):īut most of the game level terrain is actually rendered at lower resolution. They are not actually rendered as a separate layer and are embedded into terrain shaders. Roads, that map author places within Level Editor, are then baked into a special data that game uses to draw them efficiently. (A “plant” is an object that is scattered over the terrain in large quantities, like rocks or trees.) They are maintained by the same systems that simulate and render all other plant types in the game. These are bigger chunks of mud, each is a full-fledged rigid body so they interact with the physics world properly and they even break into smaller chunks, when vehicles drive over. A lockless synchronization technique makes that whole effect very performance-friendly. Mud particles are simulated by the CPU in a separate thread. Those objects float on top of the mud and are affected by vehicle wheels (can stick to them even), they only act as decoration and don’t affect the physics. Terrain Mud Decals (will get back to it later)Ģ. Now let’s take away all the layers in the reverse order they are applied when the game renders a frame.ġ. Let’s start by disabling post-processing: SSAO (ambient shadows), FXAA (softens object edges), DOF (blurs foreground), Sharpen Effect and Color Correction: Let’s take a game screenshot and decompose it.
